What Ontario rebate programs are available?

Do I qualify for Ontario rebate programs?
Finding out whether or not your home or living situation qualifies for Ontario rebate programs can be a confusing and time-consuming process. Is the GreenON Rebate Program still open?
The GreenON Rebate Program officially closed all of its operations on June 19, 2018. Energy Efficiency Standards was a participating contractor in the GreenON Rebates Program, and was able to assist customers in receiving up to $7,200 in home renovation rebates. Any customers who had signed quotes for insulation improvements prior to the closure of the program were still eligible to receive GreenON Rebates, provided the work was completed by August 31, 2018, and the contractor submitted the rebate application to the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) by September 30, 2018.
What is an energy audit/assessment?
Certain rebate programs may require a pre- and post-work energy audit to be completed in order to be eligible to receive rebates. An energy audit, or energy assessment, is an evaluation to tell you how much energy your home consumes, and identifies problematic areas that should be improved or fixed. Following an energy audit, completed by an NRCAN-registered energy advisor, you will receive several reports, including an EnerGuide Rating label, which gives you detailed information specific to your home. These reports will assist in outlining your best plan of action to make your home more comfortable and reduce your energy bills!
